Favorite Spots to Eat, Drink, and Cook
A lot of people ask me what my favoite XYZ is (mostly food and local restaurants), so I thought I would put together a little list of faves.
Favorite Restaurants – When in Seattle
Marination Station – kimchi fried rice, kalbi beef tacos, spam sliders on honey buns
Via Tribunali – calzone and tiramisu for dessert
Portage Bay Cafe – challah french toast bar and housemade breakfast sausage or crab benedict
Ezell’s Fried Chicken – mix of regular and spice with rolls and Faygo
Dick’s Burgers – Dick’s Deluxe, fries, chocolate shake

Lot no. 5 – bacon, duck, and pulled pork sliders with their happy hour drink menu
Monsoon East
Kukai Ramen and Izakaya
Bellevue Brewing Company – nachos are legit so is cuban sandwich
Favorite Restaurants – When in Issaquah/Sammamish
Issaquah Brewhouse – Idaho buffalo chips, any beer, reuben sandwich, and corn dog
Stan’s BBQ – mixed plate (Grandpa’s) of pulled pork, ribs, and brisket
Macky’s Dim Sum – kids love the dim sum
Favorite Restaurants – When in Spokane
O’Doherty’s Irish Grille – get the Hooligan and Hannigan (reuben), fish and chips, a pint of Guinness or Smithwick’s, and the Scottish Eggs
Zip’s Burgers – Papa Joe, fries and their homemade tartar, butterscotch milkshake
Rockwood Bakery – coffee, any seasonal scone, and quiche
Gordy’s Szechuan Cafe – its all hot and all good (why would a white guy tell you what to eat??)
Latah Bistro – duck, great wine selection, and chocolate sampler for dessert
