My mother used to, and frankly still is a big fan of Elvis Presley. She loved his hip gyrating Hound Dog and his other rock tunes, but you know what she really likes? Elvis singing gospel. The ONE song I have in my iTunes library is his (There Will Be) Peace in the Valley. I simply love that song. Straight “southern” gospel from the old days.
This Christmas is about Peace. Peace in the valley. Peace in our hearts. Peace with each other. I don’t want to preach, get political, or even share thoughts, ideas, or opinions this Christmas. I simply wish all of you peace in your lives and in your relationships. There is nothing like perfect peace and my prayer is that peace will reign in your hearts and minds this Christmas season. Lets move away from cliche and greeting card wish and move into a life of peace this season.
