Lake Joy Farmstead Feed
They say you are what you eat right? Well we are what our food eats is probably more accurate! Read about our work with WA state feed manufacturers.

How you feed your animals is probably the most important thing a farmer, small or large, can do. This goes for the health of the animal and of course the health of the people consuming it. People seem to care about this more than ever before. They want to know where their food comes from, and ultimately what that food ate as its food.
We have worked hard to find and source what we feel are the two very best feed manufacturers in the State of Washington. We felt that local ingredients were important, as well as how the feed was processed to also be important.
We use and also sell two feeds, both manufactured in Washington State.

The first is The Red Bridge Farm out of Kettle Falls, WA in Stevens County, a non-GMO, no corn or soy feed supplier that works out of an old Purina mill. I interviewed Brad, the owner, and you can catch that podcast here. Dominica, Loch and I also visited his facility and were super excited about their commitment to raw ingredients from their county (Stevens) as well as their clean processing methods. We have used their chicken, swine and beef feed the past few years and in the words of our preferred butcher, “whatever you have been doing, keep it up,” testifying to the quality of our animals, our husbandry, and their healthy lives.
We are also excited to use and offer Scratch & Peck Organic feed to our feed program. This means that folks in the area can have access to a variety of S&P options at a discount and are able to conveniently pick up at Lake Joy Farmstead.
We can access all of the various feed options for both The Red Bridge Farm, largely through group buys, as well as Scratch & Peck, which we carry here at our farm. We are listing the most common (and frankly the ones we use most) below.
If you are interested, you can find more information here and place an order, of you can contact us to discuss additional options and feed choices.
