Early explorers to the “New World” were intent on gathering sassafras, which was highly prized because it was thought to cure syphilis. North America abounds in sassafras. The Native Americans used the leaves to thicken soups. It never cured syphilis, but the roots made an excellent drink known as ROOT BEER.
Amazing picture! It’s funny to so much of oruselves in our children. My oldest is all me. My middle not so much and my youngest is a perfect mix of my husband and myself. It is funny to see how different children from the same parents can be. Good luck with your entry!
